In the realm of hand-blown and etched art glass, Gustavo Santana’s work stands out for its richness in color and detail. He is a master at utilizing a glassblower’s torch and sandblasting tools for hand-carving and creating cameo images on the surface of the glass; and he is the creator of a unique carving technique he has called “Sea Treasures” glass sculptures that give the impression they were washed up on the shore after years of battering by sand and sea.
With more than 25 years experience, Gustavo Santana is recognized for designs he created exclusively for Correia Art Glass of Santa Monica, California. His love of plants and animals are reflected in the designs he creates for almost all his bowls, vases and plates. Before opening his own studio in Los Angeles, in 2005, he also worked for other well-known glassblowers in southern California and abroad creating pieces for individual, corporate and industrial clients.

His work is constantly on exhibit at Fine Art Glass shows & Galleries across the United States, as well as on television.
Santana Art Glass has been sold and distributed in the United States, Canada, Argentina, Italy, Spain and Mexico.
